Position Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Manager of resources doing backups with multiple tools, Disaster Recovery technical tasks, application data migrations, and platform support.
  • Oversee the Disaster Recovery (DR) exercise tests for payment processing across 8 sites and 40+ platforms.
  • DR Duties – Develop, manage, and execute DR plans and schedules with FIS site management and FIS continuity management (CPO).
  • Interface with clients for DR testing, providing the Client Scope and Objectives document for testing, scheduling the test periods in consultation with CPO and site operations and clients
  • Review DR plans in Archer with CPO and site personnel
  • Develop DR schedule with site and CPO
  • Attend all CPO Disaster Recovery Exercise (DRE) meetings
  • Monitor Change Control to watch for changes that need DR components
  • Monitor ETS Demand requests to verify DR components are considered
  • Work with implementation teams to schedule and conduct preproduction DREs
  • Keep/develop documentation for all systems
  • For the FIS Cloud, prepare required playbooks and organize meeting to discuss for each DRE with all stake holders (networks, load balancer, Active Directory, firewall, window support, VMware engineering, Storage, DBAs)
  • Complete all required documentation for CPO
  • Develop the recovery plan in consultation with various technical resources
  • Detail DRE recovery and testing tasks in Event Tracker
  • Open all required Change Controls for DR testing, negotiating with the stakeholders (see above) as to roles, tasks, and times
  • Identify and schedule all technical resources (see stakeholder list)
  • Manage the execution of the DRE, making sure each task is completed properly, assign technical resources to handle issues, track issues, talk with clients about issues
  • Make sure that all tasks are updated properly in Event Tracker as this is used to report on success or failure of the DRE.
  • Follow up with clients on exercise issues, track the solutions. If RMIS is open, get resources and get the issue solved.
  • Provide clients with DR processes and results
  • Keep upper management apprised of DRE process and results
  • Be involved in projects that will require DR making sure that the DR aspect is addressed properly for the environment.
