Senior Accountant - Cryptocurrency

Cutting edge cryptocurrency firm seeks Senior Financial Accountant/ Assistant Finance Manager to join their growing Finance team. 

My client is a leading crypto exchange, with offices internationally. They are poised for their next stage of significant growth and in line with this, are recruiting for a number of senior accountants, who have a passion for the exciting world of crypto. They are based in San Francisco and have the major backing from some extremely significant and influential players in the market. 

Description

• Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will form part of a team who is responsible for the following: 
• Executing the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounting 
• Being responsible for the fixed assets accounting 
• Helping to maintain a rigorous and efficient internal controls process 
• Being responsible for the reconciling prepaid and accrual accounts 
• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly audit binders and related schedules for all entities 
• Performing intercompany reconciliations 
• Working with Treasury and other departments to ensure proper accounting treatments of complex structures within the company 
• Coaching and mentor the accounts payable and junior accountant personnel 
• Assisting in implementation of a new accounting/ERP system 
• Performing ad-hoc tasks, when required.

Profile 

In return for a competitive remuneration package, you will possess the following: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics 
• CPA - essential 
• 6+ years Industry Accounting experience 
• Public Audit experience required 
• Background in accounting for financial services, fintech, banking, or an exchange required 
• Experience or knowledge with cryptocurrency is a plus
